Send in $30 to purchase the book or return the book.

Make checks payable to GES PTA.  Additional books available immediately.

No obligation to take part in the fundraiser. You can just return the book. We get 50% profit. In lieu of a purchase, please consider a direct donation to the GES PTA to help fund this year’s planned activities. Details on ordering books from other areas are included in this packet.  Spread the word to friends and families in person, or e-mail, so we can meet or exceed this year’s goals. We would love to partner with business owners by providing a display and a few books for sale at your shop.  Please consider this.

These books can pay for themselves very quickly. Also, think of gifts for co-workers and relatives hard to buy for. Planning to vacation somewhere like Orlando before Nov.2013, order an Orlando book!

·        Last year we were able to provide wall padding for the PE room, walkie talkies to be used around the GES campus, new musical instruments including ukuleles, bongos, boom whackers and other materials for the Music encore classes, and GES main office enhancements.

·        This year’s equipment and material goals include Study Island - an award winning on-line supplemental student study resource that will be available for use at school and home, STEAM project funding, playground equipment and Art encore class supplies.

Of course all the kids were excited once they saw the posters up in school and we hope that y'all can make it out for fun and fellowship. The PTA will get 15% of all sales Wednesday afternoon/evening.
Any GES teacher in attendance gets a free meal!

Entertainment Fundraiser Prize Delay

Dear Parents,

Due to circumstances beyond our control, we will not be able to hand out the additional Entertainment Book Fundraiser prizes until next Wednesday, October 5. If you still have an Entertainment book that has not been paid for and has not been returned, please send in a check to GES PTA for the cost of the book ($30) or return the book right away. 

Please use this opportunity to sell more books.  If you still need any additional books, you can send in money this week and we can get you the additional book(s).

Early Bird Return for Entertainment Fundraiser Books Tomorrow!

Tomorrow, Tuesday, September 20 a representative from our fundraiser ENTERTAINMENT book will be at the school to collect orders and hand out prizes to anyone who has turned in orders to date!

Please get any orders you have in so far by tomorrow morning in order to get prizes this week and any orders filled right away. You can continue to sell and take orders until next Tuesday, September 27 when she will come back 1 last time.  Your prize totals will carry over.  All orders and Internet orders must be placed by the cutoff for credit to be given. 

Please have all monies sent to the office and books ready for pickup in the classroom collection bins from the PTA representative Jeannine Michaels or Colleen Williams as early as possible Tuesday so we have time to record it and pass off to the Entertainment rep when she comes.

If time allows, prizes earned to date will go home tomorrow, latest Wednesday.

Fall Fundraiser - On-Line Ordering Instructions

If you intend to sell Entertainment books for areas other than Richmond, you need to set up a seller account on their site if you want your child to get credit:

After setting that up, they provide you with a link to send e-mails to family and friends that will automatically credit our school with your seller id.

The direct link to order out of town books is: www.entertainment.com/support

It asks for your account# 10067459 (for our school)

and then your seller account# if you want your child to get credit for prizes.
and then the city/state or zip code to bring up the book you want.

Once you setup the seller account, you can just give the www.entertainment.com/support

To whomever wants to buy along with the school account# and your seller account# or use the send e-mail function through your selleraccount.

Fall Fundraiser 2011

Thursday, Sept 8th is the kickoff for the GES PTA Fall Fundraiser.  The PTA is selling Entertainment Books this year to raise money for student and teacher programs.  One entertainment book and an instruction packet is going home with each student on Thursday, Sept. 8th.  Please make every effort to reach our minimum goal of 1 book sold per student. Each entertainment book costs $30.  All orders and payments must be received back at the school no later than Tuesday, September 27th.  If you need additional books or have any questions, please contact Colleen Williams at gesptavoice@aol.com .  If you do not plan to participate, please return the book back to your student’s teacher as soon as possible

Chuck E. Cheese Night Thursday January 13!

Our next PTA Family fundraiser event is scheduled for Thursday, January 13 at Chuck E. Cheese located at 9030 Broad St. in the Tuckernuck shopping Center. See map HERE.  

The times are scheduled for 3-9 and you need to mention that you are there for Goochland Elementary School when you make a purchase in order for our school to receive credit. 

A Chuck e Cheese character will be visiting the school that day to hand out stickers for free tokens.

You can also download and print free on-line certificates to be used as rewards for academic achievement, attendance or any activity you feel deserves recognition. (Certificate includes 10-15 FREE tokens incentive.) There are also plenty of on-line coupons available for token  & food deals. They can all be found HERE.

TEACHER'S BONUS! Teachers and staff are important to the success of this program. Those attending will receive a FREE meal the night of the event. Present a school ID and receive an individual 1 topping pizza and soft drink, or all-you-can-eat salad bar and soft drink.

15% of all register sales generated from our participating families, teachers, and community will be donated back to your school. This includes all food, merchandise, and token deals purchased at the registers

Virginia Diner Fundraiser Items Have Arrived!!

The Virginia Diner PTA Fall Fundraiser items have arrived! We had very short notice and they arrived this afternoon - Friday. We sorted and sent as many boxes as possible home with students as we could this afternoon. However, quite a few of you still have boxes at the school. PLEASE come by the school to pick your orders up, ESPECIALLY if you have young children who cannot carry the box home themselves. This includes most Kindergarteners & some 1^st graders. All preschool orders are now at Mrs. Carolyn Trongone’s office in the annex building.

ALSO, we found out that there is one item that has been backordered on most ALL orders. We do not know at this time when it will come but will let you know as soon as we know. It is #459 peanut butter chocolate fudge.  If you have this on your order but did not receive it, please send an e-mail to our Vice president and fundraiser chairperson Dennine Michel at
denninem@verizon.net. She is compiling a list of the outstanding items and will address any issues anyone has with their orders.

We apologize for the inconvenience but it is out of our hands at the moment.

Please don’t delay since we only have 2 more school days left before Thanksgiving break! We will do our best to accommodate your schedule to get these remaining boxes to you.

• Any family who sells 10+ items will automatically earn a ticket to Mr. Austin’s extravaganza.
• Every student who participates in the fundraiser will be entered into a random drawing for a ticket to the extravaganza as well! All the exciting details will be forthcoming.
• Each homeroom’s top seller‘s reward is to an all-you-can-eat Rocco’s pizza time w/Mr. Austin.
• Brochure, Internet Sales & Direct Donations will be part of the calculation for these bonus prizes.  

Please know there is no obligation whatsoever to take part in this or any fundraiser.  In lieu of participating in our fundraiser, you may prefer to make a direct donation to GES PTA.  That is always appreciated and welcomed as well. Every little bit helps...we truly appreciate your contribution!

Back To School Night at the Drive-In to Benefit GCPS!

Enjoy a fun evening under the stars with friends and family while supporting a great cause – our kids! John and Kristina Heidel, generous owners of the Goochland Drive-In Theater, are holding a Back to School Night at the drive-in on Tuesday, August 17. For $10 per carload, Goochland residents can enjoy a double feature of “Ramona and Beezus” and “Iron Man 2.” Gates open at 6pm, the show starts at 8:25pm.

All admission proceeds will go directly to the GCPS PTAs, so please come out and show your support for our schools, as well as for this fantastic Goochland family venue. Click on the image of the flyer below for more details. See you at the movies!
